First up in our series introducing the brilliant caterers you can choose from for your @strattoncourtbarn wedding: @rossandrossevents.

We’ve worked with Ross & Ross for many years now and know that when they’re in our kitchen, we’re in very safe hands. Their food is exceptional, their presentation is beautiful and their experienced team deliver the kind of impeccable service you want on a wedding day.
Their menus are all about fantastic seasonal ingredients, bold flavours and seriously delicious food - whether you’re dreaming of an elegant plated wedding breakfast, generous sharing dishes, a festival-style BBQ or something completely bespoke to you.

And this is just a little taste of what they can do…

🌮 Bang Bang Chicken Taco with guacamole, pickled pink shallot & tomato salsa 🌱 Asparagus, minted pea & ricotta charcoal tartlet 🥩 28-day dry-aged beef carpaccio with rocket, green beans, Parmesan & pickled pink onions 🦀 Handpicked Cornish crab with chive blini, shaved fennel, fresh herbs & lobster oil 🥩 28-day dry-aged rib eye with roasted garlic & brown butter cauliflower purée and salsa verde 🌿 Charred cauliflower with chimichurri, cauliflower purée & vegetable crisps 🍫 Chocolate delice with crème anglaise & peanut brittle 🥭 Mango & passionfruit pavlova with mango coulis

All photographed right here at Stratton Court Barn and yes, it tasted every bit as good as it looks. 🤤
They can take care of the late-night food too, with everything from grilled cheese toasties and loaded boxes to sourdough pizzas and other dance-floor-fuelling snacks. Because excellent wedding food shouldn’t stop after dessert.

Happy one month anniversary to Connor & Sophie! 💙💛
They married here @strattoncourtbarn at the start of August on one of those gorgeous, hot summer days ☀️ The barns were bursting with colour and the whole day had the loveliest chilled, happy feel to it.

As lifelong Oxford United FC supporters, there was only ever going to be one colour scheme…💙💛 Blue and yellow ran throughout the day, with plenty of football-inspired touches too ⚽️

From a beautiful ceremony and drinks in the sunshine to a very lively wedding breakfast (and one particularly practical bib 😂), this was such a fun one from beginning to end.

And their verdict?

“Our wedding at Stratton Court Barn totally exceeded our expectations. Everything was flawless and there’s nothing we would have changed for the world!” 🥹

FERNE WOOD WEDDING 🍃 💚

There’s something pretty magical about a summer wedding in Ferne Wood at @strattoncourtbarn.
Louise and Liam (@louise.s119 and @liamskinnerrr) said their vows beneath the trees, surrounded by their favourite people (we love watching out guests wander across Frank’s Field to Ferne Wood!), with sunlight filtering through the leaves and the woodland looking about as beautiful as it possibly could. The walk through the meadow, the dappled light, that gorgeous leafy aisle and our oak gazebo tucked amongst the trees - it really is such a special place to get married. And who wouldn’t want to be chauffeured back (Taryn, one of our Wedding Coordinators. fave job!) post ceremony on our wedding Gator?

And on a day like this, the rest of Stratton Court Barn comes into its own too. Drinks outside, plenty of time in the sunshine, wandering the grounds for photos and that lovely, relaxed feeling of a summer wedding where nobody is in any hurry to head indoors.

🤍2026 wedding season so far…behind the scenes. 🤍

We’ve been well and truly in the thick of wedding season now since the start of the year. There’s a LOT that goes on behind the scenes to make every wedding at @strattoncourtbarn happen. Early starts, endless chairs, last-minute changes, glasses to polish, tables to perfect, suppliers arriving, couples to look after…and approximately 10,000 steps before lunch. 😂

And this is the team making it all happen.
Taryn & Holly, our brilliant Wedding & Event Coordinators, who put absolutely everything into every wedding and consistently go above and beyond for our couples. 🤍
Jonnie & Olivia, keeping the whole ship sailing smoothly (whilst getting stuck in themselves).
Seb, our Bar Manager, making sure the drinks are cold, the bar is ready and everything keeps flowing . 🥂
And Zoë, our Social Media & Marketing Manager, usually somewhere nearby with a camera, capturing it all📱

We’ve had heatwaves. We’ve had very long days. We’ve shifted around 13,000 chairs so far this year (seriously!). And we’ve had a lot of laughs along the way on row boats (important wedding venue business obvs), gators, dance floors, sprinklers, swings and tested the mic a few times! While we take every single wedding incredibly seriously, as you’ll see from this reel, in the little moments of calm between the madness…we have quite a lot of fun too. ❤️

Still plenty more weddings to come this year (2026 couples remaining we can’t wait for your weddings 👋🏻) - and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
