If you go down to the woods today...
Have you always dreamed of a woodland wedding ceremony?
Imagine saying your vows under a whispering canopy of dozens of shades of green, where you can feel as close to nature as you do to each other. Just a stone’s throw away from the barn, lies our newly licensed wedding woodland. Come with us on the short stroll across the meadow, and step into a copse of beech trees that form a perfect aisle. They’ll lead you to the oak-framed hexagon gazebo, which will frame you and your other half as you exchange your vows in a space that feels nothing short of magical.
We are licensed by Oxfordshire County Council’s registration service, and Ferne Wood has been officially approved as an outdoor ceremony location if you would like to have your legal ceremony here. However, independent celebrants are of course also welcome.
Planning for the English weather
Now, we are very aware that Ferne Wood is a quintessential English woodland, with quintessential English weather to contend with. Don’t panic – should the heavens decide to open, The Main Barn makes for a beautiful plan B ceremony space if the weather gods are unkind.
