Courtney & Sam are proof that your wedding ceremony can be completely, unapologetically you. 🤍

Their @strattoncourtbarn celebrant-led ceremony (led by @ceremoniesbyzadie) was all about fun, personality and bringing their guests into the moment from the very start. Before the ceremony even properly began, they kicked things off with a shot (Tequila Rose!) together 🥃

But they didn’t want their guests feeling left out either…so hidden underneath a handful of chairs were surprise envelopes with a ‘voucher’ for a shot at the bar later (with non-alcoholic options available too, of course 🍸).

They then played a hilarious Mr & Mrs game in front of all their family and friends before moving into their vows. And honestly…if you’ve ever wondered whether a celebrant ceremony might be for you, this is your sign.

One of the biggest differences between a celebrant and registrar ceremony is the level of personality and flexibility you can bring into it. Registrar ceremonies are legally binding and so have stricter rules and wording they need to follow (btw our Oxfordshire registrars are amazing and super lovely!). Celebrant ceremonies, however, are completely bespoke. They’re not legally binding but many couples marry a few days before legally. Your celebrant takes the time to properly get to know you as a couple - your story, your personalities, your humour, your people - and creates a ceremony that genuinely feels like you. Whether that’s emotional, relaxed, chaotic, funny, unconventional…or all four.

At Stratton Court Barn we’re lucky enough to have two incredible celebrants on our Recommended Supplier list - the wonderful Zadie and the lovely Zoe @zoegraystoncelebrant (completely unplanned that they both have names beginning with ‘Z’ ✨). They are both fab at what they do and have such a talent for creating ceremonies that feel warm, personal and memorable for every couple they work with.

�Today is WORLD COCKTAIL DAY and behind our outdoor bar, Bar Manager Seb has been busy mixing up a couple of our favourites - Passionfruit Martinis and Palomas. Our cocktails are designed to feel every bit as special as the celebration itself.

Whether you’re dreaming of spicy Margaritas at sunset in the courtyard, elegant Espresso Martinis (our most popular shaken cocktail) as the party starts, or a signature cocktail chosen by you for your special day, our bar team can help bring it to life.

You can completely personalise your cocktail station and create your own bespoke drinks menu for the day - from classic cocktails to something totally unique to you.

Not drinking alcohol? We’ve got you covered too. Our non-alcoholic cocktails are just as beautiful, refreshing and thoughtfully made, meaning everyone can join in the fun.

Such a gorgeous couple with great vibes. No rain, just soft skies, fresh spring air, and the sweetest atmosphere in The Main Barn as they said “I do.”

From cosy morning moments with her bridesmaids full of relaxed, laughter-filled morning prep, to delicious food from @kearneyscateringuk, to the energy of the evening dance floor, every moment of their wedding was pure joy. The whole day felt effortlessly laid-back and full of warmth and love. Congrats both!✨💫
