FAQs at Stratton Court Barn

How many guests can we have?

Maximum 90 for the ceremony and wedding breakfast.

Maximum 150 for the evening.

We have no minimum number. However, some caterers might, so please bear this in mind.

Do we have exclusive use of the venue?

Yes, the venue is entirely yours for your wedding day.

Where are the fairy lights from?

The fairy lights in the bar and the outside building attached festoon lighting come as standard.

The canopy of lights in the main barn and the outside festoon canopy is available to hire from Something Borrowed Event Hire.

Can we have real candles at the ceremony or reception?

All candles at the venue must be battery powered/led etc.

Can I get married at a church then have my reception at Stratton Court Barn?

Yes, there are many beautiful local churches to choose from. None are more than 15 minutes away. Shelswell Benefice is the collection of churches in the area. Stratton Audley is the closest.

Is there parking onsite?

Yes, there is free parking on site.  Cars are welcome to be left over night and must be collected by 11am the next day.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes,  it is accessible for wheel chair users and prams. A ramp is to used to access the main barn.  The only part of the main barns not accessible is the Hayloft and the upstairs of Granary Cottage.

There are disabled toilet facilities.

Are there baby changing facilities?

Yes, located in the disabled bathroom.

What time does the party end?

Music and drinks end at 11.30. Carriages are by midnight.

Can we stay in Granary Cottage?

Yes, it is available on the night of your wedding. – check in from 3pm, check out at 11am.

If it is not in use the night before, we might be able to offer it to you then as well.

Is confetti allowed?

Yes, only biodegradable/real flower petals, dried or fresh, are permitted as confetti and must be thrown outside.
