Explore our beautiful barn and wedding venue in Oxfordshire at our Open Day on Sunday 27th October.

Come and join us for a glass of fizz and some nibbles for our open day 10am – 4pm. Explore our venue with a tour of the Grounds, Barns, Woodland, Granary Cottage bridal suite and the Stables Lounge and Bar. Our wedding experts and wedding co-ordinator Charlotte will be on hand offering insights and answering questions, helping you envision your perfect day and what you would love for your wedding.

Ok ok fine (🙄😂), Summer is over and we’ve stopped being sad about it and decided to embrace the Autumn! We have lots of weddings coming up over the next few months and we can’t wait. 🍂

Talking about Autumn in the office this week reminded us of a gorgeous shoot put together by @wildsapphireflorist held here way back at the end of the Summer in 2020 for @festivalbrides. 🥰

With the warm, earthy tones of our stone walls as the backdrop, the team designed both indoor and outdoor spaces that embrace the vintage trends of the 1970s, featuring floral prints and retro-inspired style.😎

We lusted after the warm autumnal toned floral bouquet, the bohemian vibe and what an incredible team we had on the day!

Always fun to do something a little different - and it worked so well here at Stratton Court Barn.✨

“Married in September’s golden glow, smooth and serene your life will go.” ☀️🍁

We love this saying and it is spot on - an English September wedding is a breathtakingly beautiful time to get married, as we hit the final moments of summer and the early whispers of autumn. The countryside here at our barn transforms into a rich tapestry of golden fields, soft green meadows, and trees beginning to blush with amber and crimson. And the late summer sun gives that romantic light that photographers (and you!) will 🥰

Last September the gorgeous Hanna and Karl tied the knot with us, and with the help go Lola, dog and ring-bearer! It was a wonderful day! ✨

A little behind the scenes from our shoot day this week in our new space THE BYRE because we are still feeling all 🥰about it!

Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments and feedback we have had over the last few days since we announced the new space. We are thrilled how it has turned out and can’t wait for all your weddings in here! ✨

Another huge thanks to all involved on shoot day (see below for our amazing crew 👌🏻) for all your time and effort to make the space look so beautiful and show what it has to offer. There’ll be more BTS when we have footage back from the amazing Kim @kja_photography2 and Rob @redbeardfilmco no doubt!

Introducing…THE BYRE! ✨

Welcome to The Byre, the newest addition to our spaces here at @strattoncourtbarn and we cannot tell you how excited we are to share this with you!🥰

We’ve turned an old barn into a truly beautiful space for your wedding celebrations.

The Byre can seat 130 for a ceremony and the same number at round or long tables for your wedding breakfast. We have put in a huge gorgeous fireplace for that extra romantic warmth, stunning chandeliers and a state of the art kitchen for our amazing suppliers to create their culinary magic.😋

Plus we have doors that open out directly onto our courtyard for post ceremony/wedding breakfast entertaining, and watching those amazing sunsets we get.

We had a great day yesterday with some wonderful suppliers (see below!) creating further content too share with you of what The Byre could look like on your special day - more coming soon! Thanks to everyone for giving their time for that yesterday, it was wonderful to see the new space brought to life!👌🏻

We love an anniversary and today marks three years

We love an anniversary and today marks three years (eek where does the time go?!) since we held the beautiful wedding here at @strattoncourtbarn for Amy @amybell2490 and Fraser 🥰

Amy says:
“Our wedding was only weeks after they released the lockdown restrictions so stress levels were high on the lead up to it. However the day turned out to be absolutely perfect. It was the first big get together for both sides of the family in years so naturally everyone let their hair down.

The atmosphere we wanted was a summer family bbq party vibes which the venue and caterers absolutely nailed. It was everything we had imagined and more, the venue, the staff, the weather, the food, all were just perfect. ✨

Hopefully we can have another gathering at the venue in the future. Everyone still talks about our wedding now and the venue is always mentioned at how beautiful it is.”

We’d be happy to have ou back anytime Amy, Fraser and guests! Don’t be a stranger!👋🏻😘

AUGUST WEDDING SPOTLIGHT! ☀️🩷

Hannah and Angus married here with us @strattoncourtbarn mid-August last year and it was a gorgeous day as you can see!

August weddings at our barn are magical. As the summer sun bathes the countryside and the lushness of the greenery just pops!

Hannah and Angus married in Ferne Wood which was decorated so beautifully with bunting and deep summer florals. We loved Hannah’s hairpiece!🥰

August also brings the perfect balance of long days and balmy evenings, allowing you to make the most of every moment. The couple basked in the late afternoon sun having photos as the sun set in Ferne Wood and around our gardens.

There was definitely a festive spirit of summer, combined with the relaxed holiday vibe! It was a great day - let’s do it again!

We still can’t get over Bella and George’s beautifully vibrant wedding they held with us in May - and it’s a day makes us smile on the daily! 💖

Bella and George had a clear vision which they brought together here @strattoncourtbarn with their amazing suppliers (all listed below) so beautifully. From the bunting and ceiling decor in the barn to the simple but so effective decor they chose for their ceremony in Ferne Wood. So much attention to detail and their wedding brought all the fun and joy on what was a showery day!

We love seeing how our main barn gets transformed for every wedding ceremony and it always looks beautiful no matter how lavish or simple the designs are. It has its very own rustic charm which gets an added burst of our couples personalities. Here are a few examples of decor choices. Bold, simple, beautiful.🤘🏻

Our barn has a high ceiling - drapes create a softer look and feel. Or add fairy or festoon lights to create a warm enchanting glow. Or take the barn down an even more rustic vibe and flood the ceiling with foliage and flowers. Adding fabric to the backs of chair can add to the feeling of intimacy,

And a wedding without flowers? It doesn’t exist! But you can keep it simple or go big: flower arches, table centrepieces, petals on the floor. Or subtle greenery. It all adds to the magic.

Caroline and James wanted to do a reveal to each other before the ceremony and walk down the aisle together - a beautiful testament to their unique journey and shared commitment. ❤️

This approach reflects the evolving nature of weddings - a personal touch that adds an extra layer of intimacy and authenticity to the ceremony, highlighting that weddings today come in all shapes and sizes.
