R E A L W E D D I N G 💞 COURTYARD EDITION!

We love a courtyard wedding at @strattoncourtbarn and what a wedding it was for Hilary @instagrant.h and Adam! The sun was shining and the vibes were strong! ☀️

After a beautiful outdoor ceremony the couple enjoyed our signature cocktails in the courtyard, our garden games plus delicious oysters and canapés from @kearneyscateringuk . After the wedding breakfast a bagpiper summoned everyone out for more drinks and tiramisu before the evening party started!

There was a slight mishap during the day when Hilary’s dress ripped at the waist (Adam was chasing after her for an amazing shot and stepped on the back of her dress by accident!❤️) but luckily Taryn, our wedding coordinator running their day, is a dab hand at sewing (as is Holly our other coordinator!) and within half an hour it was all fixed! 🧵

It’s all part of the day for us - whether it’s keeping everything running smoothly or quietly fixing the unexpected, we’re always on hand so our couples can simply enjoy every moment. Congrats Hilary and Adam - a pleasure to have you here with us for your special day! 🤍

We’re dealing with the really important wedding decisions here people!
Fairy lights or festoon lights? Gin station or beer barrow? Round tables or long rustic tables?

Join us for our Open Evening on Tuesday 7 July from 4pm-8pm and you can ask us more!

These may be quick-fire questions, but when you’re planning your wedding, some of the smallest decisions can feel surprisingly difficult...especially when every option sounds pretty wonderful!
We put Jonnie, Olivia, Taryn and Holly to the test to see where their loyalties lie. Some answers were immediate. Others took a little more thought. 👀

The good news? There are no wrong answers. Every wedding @stattoncourtbarn is different, and that’s exactly how we like it. In all our years of weddings here @strattoncourtbarn, we’ve seen some incredible arrivals...
Horses and carriages. Vintage cars. A London bus. A tractor and trailer. Limousines. Sports cars. One adventurous couple even arrived by motorbike.
But we have a groom who may take the prize - Mark made his entrance by helicopter! 🚁
In hindsight, perhaps we should have mown a giant “H” into the field...we’ll know/mow for next time! 😆
Kimberly and Mark tied the knot in The Main Barn, surrounded by family, friends and plenty of sunshine, before celebrating the rest of their beautiful day here at Stratton Court Barn.
The truth is, it doesn’t really matter how you arrive. By helicopter, horse, bus, bike or on foot, what matters is the moment you see the person you’re about to marry and the day that follows.
We feel incredibly lucky to be part of these stories and to witness so many wonderfully different wedding days unfold here on the farm.
And if anyone fancies arriving by rally car...we’ve got a few of those on site too - just ask! 😉🏁

The hottest day of the year so far? We’re leaning right into it here @strattoncourtbarn - and pretending we’re absolutely fine 😂☀️🌹

Whilst the country is slowly melting, we’re doing our best to keep cool here at Stratton Court Barn.

🍺 Jonnie grabbed a Hawkstone.
🍸 Holly and Zoë were busy quality-controlling Seb’s rather excellent espresso martinis (these were salted caramel - Jonnie also had one much to his daughter Ferne’s amusement!)
🧊 Seb took charge of the ice situation (a role he’s taking very seriously).
🌹 Olivia headed out to water the roses - and Zoë!
🚜 Taryn and Cathy took the wedding Gator over to Ferne Wood for a spot of shade (sunlight dappling through the trees), a catch-up and to check everything is looking beautiful for our couples.

Plenty of cold drinks, plenty of fans, plenty of ice…and a lot of pretending we’re absolutely fine.

And just wait until the end… 😂
