The ceremony is over, drinks are flowing in the courtyard, guests are laughing over lawn games while others gather around the firepit toasting marshmallows as the evening draws in. As the sun sets, the venue begins to glow with warm uplighting, your neon sign lights up the dance floor and your guests know the celebrations are far from over.

Looking for something a little different? Why not add axe throwing during your drinks reception, a beautiful silk floral installation for a wow-factor backdrop for your ceremony, or extend your finish time to keep the party going that little bit longer?

What a day! ❤️ Sunday’s Wedding Showcase was filled with excitement, inspiration and plenty of smiling faces as couples, friends and family explored everything Stratton Court Barn has to offer.

From beautifully styled spaces and endless wedding ideas to glasses of fizz, Aperol Spritz, mojitos from the outdoor bar and conversations with some of our wonderful recommended suppliers (see who joined us below!), there was such a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along. We absolutely love opening our doors and helping couples picture their wedding day here.
And...we have a Golden Ticket winner...we just don’t know who they are! 👀✨ One lucky couple has £500 off their Stratton Court Barn wedding waiting for them, but unlike most guests, they took their envelope home unopened. If that sounds like you, check your envelope and let us know!

Wedding season is in full swing, so taking a few hours out for a team day isn’t always easy. But yesterday we all managed exactly that.

From quad bikes (not unlike running a wedding really - fast-paced, occasionally unpredictable and requiring nerves of steel) to testing out a new swing, there was plenty of fun to be had. Holly may have pushed Seb so enthusiastically that he ended up swinging through the air before he’d actually sat down. Thankfully, our Bar Manager survived the experience.

There was some work involved too...honest 😂. With summer officially here, we needed to move the boat down to the lake, which naturally meant Taryn and Holly had to take it for a spin - or several spins, given they spent the first few minutes going round and round in the same spot.

We also gave our newest ‘Extra’, axe throwing, a proper team trial as we attempted to embrace our inner Vikings! It can now be set up on the field in front of the house and is brilliant fun for weddings.

To finish, Jonnie and Olivia fired up the pizza oven for homemade pizzas, a few drinks and a lovely lunch before we all got back to work.

A reminder that whilst we’re a wedding venue first and foremost, we’re also a farm, a place for bringing people together, and occasionally a place where your coordinators can be found attempting to row a boat around a lake when they should probably be working. 🚤🍕🪓🌿

When we asked if they’d fancy a day photographing our recommended caterers, the answer was a very quick yes! We *may* have had to taste test to make sure it was good enough for our couples…spoiler alert: it is!
